How to move the CAPSYSSERVER working directory

If you want to move the CAPSYSSERVER working directory to another location other than the default of %SYSTEMROOT% directory, perform the following steps:

1) Stop CAPSYS Server Manager

2) Go to REGEDIT

3) REGEDIT -> HKEY_Local_Machine -> Software -> Wow6432node -> CAPSYS -> CAPTURE -> Server -> WorkingDir

4) Edit the string value to set the desired location such as: D:\capsysserver\ or utilize a UNC path: \\servername\capsysserver\  i.e. \\\batches\capsysserver\

5) Save settings

6) Start CAPSYS Server Manager
